Occupied Apartment Rehabilitation
Supporting Tenants, and Helping Construction stay on schedule.
Sometimes renovations can be done without relocating a tenant. Minimally invasive improvements such as window replacement, installation of new heating and cooling units, and seismic upgrades can often be completed while a tenant continues to occupy their apartment. However, occupied apartment rehabilitation may still greatly inconvenience residents. Multiple days of occupied renovation can result in stress and endanger the health of tenants, as well as create a loss of space and privacy in order to accommodate work. In addition, many residents may not be able to empty or move heavy furniture out of the way, or remove art or televisions from walls.
Peregrine Relocations provides support to both tenants and to Construction in order to facilitate a smooth occupied rehabilitation. We meet with tenants individually to assess their needs and to make plans for difficult to clear areas. We will carefully pack everything in a curio cabinet and store it out of the way until the work is completed, and then we put it back just as it was. We can also arrange for respite spaces for tenants who require privacy and quiet. Just like with relocation, we help Construction stay on schedule.
